Board-certified orthopedic shoulder surgeon, Brian Kindl, MD, brings more than a decade of experience in orthopedic surgery to New Orleans Shoulder Institute, serving the men and women living in and around Metairie, Hammond, and Slidell, Louisiana.
Dr. Kindl began his professional education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where he earned his undergraduate and medical degree. During his time at LSU, Dr. Kindl swam on the varsity squad and won the title of Academic All-American.
Following graduation, Dr. Kindl completed an internship and residency. He continued his advanced training in orthopedic surgery at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and the University of Alabama in Birmingham. While in Birmingham, Dr. Kindl trained under the world-renowned orthopedic physician, Dr. James Andrews.
Dr. Kindl subsequently completed a year-long fellowship in sports medicine at the non-profit education and research organization, Orthopedic Research of Virginia in Richmond. At his private practice, Dr. Kindl specializes in upper extremity and sports medicine surgical procedures. He’s also an orthopedic consultant for several professional, collegiate, and high school sports teams, including Hampden Sydney College in Hampden Sydney, Virginia, and the Washington Redskins of the National Football League.
Dr. Kindl loves helping ease his patients’ pain and improving their quality of life. He has years of experience performing minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries, emphasizing easier, and quicker recovery.
